MMF is very pleased with the outcome of Manitou Live. $10,000 in grants were awarded to musicians of 73 performances over three months. Manitou Live positively impacted Manitou Springs by helping venues, paying musicians and increasing consumer activity. One venue owner commented, "Manitou Live gave me

the courage to begin live music sooner than I would have risked, and it paid off!"

Manitou Arts, Culture & Heritage Initiative, Manitou Springs Community Foundation, Geoff Heim Law, Ben Kuckel, Ann Nichols, Laura Newman, and an Anonymous Donor.

Goals:

​

• Bring LIVE music back to Manitou Springs sooner in 2021.

• Subsidize payments for LIVE music in Manitou Springs venues.

• Ensure musicians are compensated at 2019 rates or better.

• Draw more LIVE music fans into Manitou Springs sooner in 2021.

 

Terms:

​

• "Manitou Musicians" playing LIVE in Manitou Springs venues will receive 50% of their fees from Manitou Live! funds.

• Outside musicians playing LIVE in Manitou Springs venues will receive 40% of their fees from Manitou Live! funds.

• Applications must be received no later than four days before the event.

• MMF Board will verify fair compensation and venue payment to musicians.

• Each venue is eligible for up to two applications per week (Monday - Sunday) beginning April 1, 2021.

• Each venue is eligible for up to $400/week (Monday - Sunday) beginning April 1, 2021.

• Manitou Live! will end when the total budget of $10,000 expires.
